Joined by teachers representing every school district in PA-15, Callahan calls for an education policy that puts our kids first

BETHLEHEM, PA. - Today Congressional candidate and Mayor of Bethlehem John Callahan was joined by teachers from every school district in Pennsylvania's 15th Congressional District to discuss the state of education in Pennsylvania and unveil Callahan's plan to help our children receive the best education possible. Callahan also called out Congressman Dent for his recent vote to fire almost 6,000 Pennsylvania teachers. Dent's vote would have meant bigger classrooms, less personal attention to individual students and ultimately would have resulted in more kids falling through the cracks. Callahan also condemned the Race to the Top program for rationing educational resources based on a one size fits all contest.
